All Progressives Congress, APC, stakeholders in Ohuhu-Umuahia on Saturday March 5, 2022 held a stakeholders meeting at Barrister Somadila Uzodinma, residence at Akpahia Obiohuru Afugiri ward in Umuahia North Local Government Area, LGA, Abia State.
Barr Somadila Uzodinma, in his welcome address at the event which attracted party chieftains across the 27 autonomous communities in Ohuhu, said that he is very optimistic of the fact that Umuhu na Okauiga, whom he described as brothers have closed ranks to ensure that the right thing is done by making sure that an Ohuhu son in the person of High Chief Ikechi Emenike emerges as the next Governor of Abia, a state that need to experience good Governance.
He said the reason for the stakeholders meeting is for the APC in Ohuhu to come together and discuss how to proceed with the 2023 agenda, in order to win the elections. Barr Somadila Uzodinma pointed out that there couldn’t be any other better agenda for now other than on how to deliver their own, High Chief Ikechi Emenike, who is very qualified, to become the governor of Abia State come 2023.
The legal Practitioner advised the party stakeholders to reach out to other members of the party in Ohuhu who are aggrieved one way or another to join forces together to deliver the party in Ohuhu, since according to him all hands must be on deck to achieve victory for the party in Abia State.
He called on the leadership of APC to set up committee that will pursue the reconciliation of aggrieved members, and bring them back fully into the fold, adding that he has been in touch with some of them and they are positive and interested in the APC agenda.
Barr. Somadila Uzodinma, a former Commissioner in the Abia state LGSC, also want the APC meetings to be extended to the grassroots, village levels, while advocating for a radical approach in the drive to win Ohuhu and Abia state for the APC.
The APC Youth Leader in Abia State, Hon Ikenna Anyalewechi, while speaking to NewsCritic at the side-lines of the event, said he is happy with what is happening in the party presently, maintaining that everyone is excited because they know there would be a positive change in Abia come 2023.
Hon Ikenna Anyalewechi insisted that APC in Abia is one, saying that Chief Ikechi Emenike by the grace of God would become the party’s governorship flagbearer as well as emerge governor of Abia State in 2023. “Ohuhu is for Chief Ikechi Emenike and they demonstrated it in 2019 if not that the party was commercialised. So, I’m happy with the calibre of stakeholders in attendance at this meeting today and they are here because they want to witness change”, Hon Ikenna posits.
The meeting which was a huge success called on Ndi Ohuhu both home and in diaspora irrespective of party affiliations and all Abians to join hands and work for the success of APC. It had in attendance: Chief Ekwuribe, APC Umuahia North Chairman, Onyedi Okwulehie who is an aspirant for Umuahia North State constituency, Prof. Azubuine, Reverend Blessed Amalambu, Ohuhu Welfare Union VP, Chief Anthony Onyeanula,
Barr Hezekiah Nwokocha, Prince Okebalama Lazarus, Ikeoha Jones Nwabueze, all APC ward Chairmen in Ohuhu and other well meaning sons and daughters of Ohuhu.
