The Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers has vowed to preserve the rich culture and traditions of Ohuhu and pass them on to future generations.
The traditional rulers made this known ahead of the Iwa Ji Ohuhu Festival, scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Ikoro Radio, Umuawa-Alaocha, Ohuhu.
Representing Ndieze Ohuhu, Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, alongside Eze Iheanyichukwu Nwokenna and Eze Abel Ogbonna Ezechukwu, affirmed that Ohuhu’s cultural heritage, including the Iwa Ji Festival, remains worthy of celebration and preservation.
They assured guests of adequate security and disclosed that prominent Ohuhu sons and daughters are expected home for the annual celebration.
This year’s festival will also feature chieftaincy installations and Royal Gold of Honour Awards for deserving sons and daughters of Ohuhu and Abia State.
