The Abia State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) will hold its monthly Congress on Thursday, September 3, 2026, with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, as Special Guest.
The Congress is scheduled to take place at No. 66 Aba Road, Umuahia, at 3:00 p.m.
In a statement endorsed by the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Chidi Asonye, and the Secretary, Comrade Iyke Onuegbu, members of the Union, including veteran journalists, are urged to attend the Congress en masse.
The appearance of the PDP Governorship Candidate is expected to provide an opportunity for members of the NUJ to engage with Dr. Anosike on issues of professional interest and matters concerning the development of Abia State.
The Council therefore calls on all members to be punctual and fully participate in the Congress.
