Uzo Obianuju Juliet, the
200 level Biochemistry student of Michael Okpara University Umudike (MOUAU), knocked down by a reckless Akwa Ibom State Transport Company, AKTC, driver at the University Park yesterday, Thursday February 25, 2021 has undergone surgery at the federal medical centre Umuahia.
Newscritic checks revealed that Juliet’s condition is still critical as doctors battle to save her life and bring her under stable condition.
One of the victims of the accident, who is also a lady died at the spot, while Juliet and another were rushed to the hospital following serious injuries they sustained in the process.
Recall that Newscritic online broke the story of the accident which took place at Umudike, the University town, when an AKTC driver ran into three people at MOUAU park killing one and injuring others, seriously too.
The driver fled immediately and handed himself over to the police while the bus was impounded by the students union leadership of the University.
