The Ikwuano Umuahia council of Traditional Rulers have applauded Senator T.A Orji for attracting the construction of a multi- million naira ultra modern health centre at Umuariaga Ikwuano, as part of his constituency projects initiatives.
Also, at Ukome Ibeku in Umuahia North local government council, Senator T.A Orji is equally constructing a similar massive health centre project, which has also reached about 80 per cent completion stage.
The inspection visit today Friday February 26, 2021 was arranged by the chief liaison officer to Senator Orji, Hon Ifeanyi Umere, who took with him some stakeholders on inspection visit to the health facilities at Ukome Ibeku and Umuariage Ikwuano, to ascertain the level of the projects completion.
The chairman of Oboro council of traditional rulers HRH Eze King Larry Ogbonna Agwu, and HRM Eze Christopher Ejirika, Ugwuahan 1 of Awomnebo and others were on hand to receive the Ochendo inspection team led by Hon Umere, with executive Chairman Umuahia North and Umuahia South LGAs. Also in the inspection visit is ex-international footballer, Karibo Ojigwe.
The royal fathers, described senator Orji as man of the people, saying that he has always remembered Ikwuano people in his projects. They thanked him for bringing this type of gigantic project and prayed God to bless him with long life.
The deputy chairman Ikwuano council of chiefs, HRM Eze Ben Oriaku, Dike one of Umudike Ukwu kingdom, said after the inspection that he is delighted with what he has seen. He commended senator Orji for his magnanimity and service to humanity.
The executive Chairman of Umuahia North LGA, Mr Njinkonye Ugochukwu, who accompanied the CLO, Hon Umere on the inspection visit, expressed his appreciation to senator Orji for attracting the construction of the health centres.
He said the projects which started 13th December 2020 have reached 80 per cent completion already, this he said, speaks to Ochendo’s commitment to the well-being of his constituents.
Also speaking, the executive chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Chief Stephen Mpamugo, stressed that Ochendo has made the Ikwuano people and indeed Abia State to benefit from his numerous people oriented programmes and dividends of democracy right from the time he was Chief of staff.
He noted that the health facility is going to be of immense help to the Ikwuano people, adding that the people of Ikwuano have not had this type before now, with doctors and staff quarters in place.
Chief T.A Orji, while speaking through Hon Umere, restated his determination to attracting more projects that have direct link to the well-being of his constituents.
He stressed that the importance senator Orji attaches to the welfare of his people is the driving force behind the numerous health facilities project, and empowerment programmes.
He added that it is in line with the senator’s vision and commitment in providing democracy dividends to the grassroots.
The chief liasion officer, disclosed that he came in company of the executive chairman Umuahia North LGA, Chief Njinkonye Ugochukwu and his Ikwuano LGA counterpart, Chief Stephen Mpamugo to see the appreciable level of work on the two health care facilities being built by Senator Orji, in addition to the multiple people oriented projects and empowerment programmes executed by the Abia Central senator.
Earlier, HRM Eze king Larry Ogbonna and
HRM Eze Christopher U Ejirika Ugwuahan I of Awomnebo, thanked Senator Orji and the land donor, Mr Eric for donating the land for the project.
