Former Deputy Chairman of Bende LGA, Promise Uzoma Okoro, popularly known as PUO, has declared his bid for the Bende North seat in the Abia State House of Assembly under the Labour Party.
Speaking at a gathering of party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters, Okoro described his ambition as a call to serve, promising people-focused and result-driven representation.
He praised Governor Alex Otti’s development strides, citing ongoing projects in healthcare, roads, and erosion control as proof that good governance delivers results.
Okoro said Bende North needs stronger, more accessible representation and unveiled his “PROMISE Manifesto” — a plan centered on people, rural development, youth and women empowerment, healthcare, transparency, security, and education.
He called it a covenant of service, pledging to uplift communities and restore confidence in leadership.
“I’m ready to serve and make Bende North proud,” he said.
His declaration is already stirring political momentum ahead of 2027.
