Renowned philanthropist and candidate of the Action Peoples Party, APP, for the Umuahia North (Ohuhu) state constituency seat in the 2023 General Election, Chief (Dr) Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia has joined the Abia youths to celebrate the International Youth Day, describing the Abia Youths as hardworking.
In a statement he issued in Umuahia in commemoration of the world Youth Day celebration, Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia noted that today is a day set aside in recognition of the youths to nation building and development. He said that the youth population of every state is very important because they constitute the greater number of the population and entire workforce.
The APP Abia House of Assembly candidate stressed that the Abia youths have succeeded in many areas despite dauting challenges, adding that they need to be motivated and encouraged to reach their goals in life. According to the statement, Chris Nwa-Abia promised to make youth empowerment a priority when elected a legislator.
Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia, who holds the titles Ihie Ohuhu and Omeroha Isingwu also encouraged the youths of Abia to remain steadfast, focused and hopeful because a brighter future awaits them. On the forth coming 2023 General Election, the founder of the Team Nwa-Abia Movement advised the Abia Youths to participate actively in politics and in electing credible candidates of their choices, warning that failure to use their voting strength positively might impact negatively on not only the youths but the suffering masses.
The International Youth Day is celebrated on August 12 to mark the contributions of today’s youth to the development of society.
