A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and the Chairmanship candidate of the party in the 2016 Local Government Election in Isiala-Ngwa South LGA of Abia State, Sir Christian Ikechukwu Okeri has described the death of Hon Ossy Prestige as one that would be difficult to forget.
Hon Christian Ikechukwu Okeri, in his condolence message to the family, said the late Ossy Prestige was the best performing legislature in Abia state, as his performance speaks volume about him as a lawmaker. “Hon Ossy Prestige my brother and my friend, the best performing legislature in Abia is gone, Hon Okeri lamented.
He said Hon Ossy Prestige is one individual that will be difficult to forget in a hurry because he endeared himself in the hearts of many through his works, adding that he is a shining light of our society today. Hon Okeri stressed that he has equally proven through his activities that someone in public position could be accessible and very ready to listen to his constituents and others no matter where you are coming from.
“His death is a great loss not just to his immediate family, APGA, Abia North and South constituency but to Abia and the entire humanity”. Hon Okeri while mourning the APGA House of Representatives member, said his re-election in 2019 was a demonstration of the love the people of Abia state have on him, particularly Aba North and South constituency which he represents.
Hon Ossy Prestige, the two-time House of Representatives member died after a brief illness, and his death has continued to attract condolence messages both within and outside Abia state because of his kind of politics which was grassroots oriented.
