The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Global Smart System Technologies GSST Group, Apostle Chuks Alozie has applauded the General Council of the World Trade Organization WTO for re-appointing Dr. Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for a second term, describes it another era of greater progress for WTO.
Apostle Alozie in a statement made available in Abuja, commended the transparency and foresights of the World Trade Organization’s Chair of the General Council, Ambassador Petter Ølberg of Norway and it’s members, having followed the procedures for the Appointment of its Director-general which Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala stood as sole Candidate.
According to the statement ” Let me commend Ambassador Petter Ølberg and his members of WTO General Council for recognizing the exceptional leadership and vision of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and their adherence to the procedures for the appointment of Director-General as contained in WT/L/509, after it’s deadline of November 8 2024 submission and endorsed our own Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as Director-General for the second term”.
The GSST Group MD/CEO, further praised the leadership style and numerous successes recorded by the World Trade Organization Director-General Dr. Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala during her first term which according him set brighter and progressive agenda for WTO.
” I commend you ma, despite significant global economic challenges you pulled through by encouraging the support of WTO members which has significantly brought greater improvement and trade developments among members, the Ministerial Conferences of MC12 and MC13 outcomes secured meaningful outcome for WTO courtesy of your fine leadership amongst others, and we believe in your capacity to deliver more”.the statement reads in part
Apostle Alozie while congratulating Dr. Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her appointment on behalf of the Board and staff of Global Smart System Technologies GSST Group seeks her maintenance in advancement for equitable global system, inclusivity and responsive WTO and assured her of his organisations continued collaboration with WTO as a Global Smart Technology organization towards achieving substantive and greater reforms in World Trade Organization.
