Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Lands, Survey and Urban Planning Umuahia, Town Planner Aaron Ikechi Bestman, has mourned the death of the former GM, Umuahia Capital Development Authority (UCDA) Mr Enyinnaya Nwokenta aka Pocket in a ghastly car accident, describing the death as shocking and traumatic.
The Permanent Secretary, who paid a condolence visit to the deceased family alongside top management staff of the ministry conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the members of staff of the ministry to the family of the late Enyinnaya Nwokenta, saying that it is the death of a colleague, friend and compatriot.
He said that the former GM of UCDA would be greatly missed for what he represents. “He was a prominent and outspoken management staff of the Ministry; we mourn with you and members of his immediate and extended families and pray for divine consolation to assuage this irreparable loss”.
In her response, Mrs Edith Ihuoma, former executive secretary Abia State Secondary Education Management Board, SEMB, and the elder sister to the late Nwokenta, bemoaned the pains and trauma the family is passing through at the moment following the death of her brother, whom she said was the only son of their parents.
She disclosed that the remains of the former GM of UCDA would be interred on Tuesday 4th July, 2023 at his Isieke home.
Until his death Town Planner Enyinnaya Nwokenta was the Traditional Prime Minister, Isieke Ibeku Autonomous community. He is survived by his wife Mrs Rosemary Nwokenta and four children, with five sisters.
The Deputy Surveyor General, Pastor K.C Abaronye led the management staff of the ministry and the deceased family in a prayer session.
