We Should Have Expelled Orji Kalu From APC Long Ago, Says Ikechi Emenike

Abia State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Ikechi Emenike, has accused the senate Chief Whip Senator Orji Uzor Kalu of anti-party activities, saying that he (Kalu) ought to have been expelled from the party long time ago.

Addressing journalists at his Umukabia residence Sunday, during the unveiling his campaign manifesto, Chief Ikechi Emenike alleged that Orji Kalu is in APC while he is supporting a different political party, the Action Peoples Congress, APP, a situation he said the party in Abia state would not tolerate.

“He is in APC and supporting APP and you think it is something we will allow, no…we should have expelled him long ago. I’m the father of the party in Abia and father to all, so there is peace in APC. The PDP has more fundamental challenges than the APC and every political party has its own volume of challenge”, he adds.

Chief Emenike disclosed that his mission is to rescue and develop Abia State, pointing out that he has a formidable team, who are not part of the rot in Abia state. According to the APC governorship flagbearer, the first problem he would handle if elected governor is to increase the size of Abia State budget.

He stressed that Abia State can’t move forward with the current budgetary provisions and that is why the state is stuck’, he reasoned. Chief Emenike called on the press to join hands and make Abia better, maintaining that the “progressive destruction of Abia State has gotten to your doorsteps”.

He insisted that this coming General Election God has decided it and God’s will for the state will be done. “So, on May 29, one person will be sworn-in and it will be APC”, he boasts.
