Thursday August 26, 2021 would remain a special day in the lives of two Isingwu Ohuhu born philanthropists, Chief (Dr) Charles Nozie Onwuneme and Chief (Dr) Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia as they were presented with honorary doctorate degree by the IICM Bible College and Theological Seminary, Florida, USA With Cambridge Theological Seminary, Ohio, U.S.A.
Rector of the College, Dr Matthew Isaacson, who performed the Honorary Doctorate Degree Investiture through the college representative, SHBC International Seminary, eulogises the exceptional qualities of the awardees in leadership and community service.
He said the college found them outstanding and fit for the confernment of the honorary doctorate degrees following their recommendation.
Dr Matthew Isaacson disclosed that one of the conditions that qualifies a candidate for the Doctor of Philosophy (Hons) is that you must first be nominated by someone before being screened by the institution and found to be worthy of the investiture.
The Rector said that Chief (Dr) Charles Nozie Onwuneme would be admitted into the university as a life time member because he has shown he is a good leader. “He is worthy of double honour”, the Rector notes.
He informed the guests that anyone that wants to belong that his or her nomination must come through Chief (Dr) Charles Onwuneme.
Chief (Dr) Charles Nozie Onwuneme is a Paramount Chief in Ohuhu land and a recipient of many titles, honours and awards, including confernment as ‘Aju Vu Ohuhu’ by Ohuhu council of Traditional Rulers led by HRM Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu. The Doctor of Philosophy, Hons, is an addition to his bag of honours but within and outside.
While Chief (Dr) Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia is a renowned structural engineer who is known for his philanthropy and humanitarian activities. He holds the title ‘Omereoha Isingwu and Ihie Ohuhu.
SHBC International Seminary is devoted to the training of ministers and to honour leaders in the society.
