The member representing Umuahia North State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Kelechi Onuzuruike has assured his Constituents that he would continue to render quality and effective representation that would impact on the lives of the people either directly or indirectly.
Hon Kelechi Onuzuruike, who is also the Deputy Chief Whip of the Assembly stated this Saturday June 19, 2021 during his Constituency briefing programme and presentation of his scorecard to mark the second anniversary of his second term in office, at Umuohuru Nkwoegwu central school Umuahia
The Umuahia North Constituency lawmaker thanked the members of his constituency for the support and love given to him so far, while assuring that he will continue to provide quality representation to his people.
The ceremony was also used to receive over 500 defectors and members of the APC and APGA into the PDP in Ohuhu Constituency.
The Deputy Chief Whip stressed that inspite of his constitutional role of making good laws that would impact on the lives of his constituents, he has been able to attract some critical projects and infrastructure to his constituency in what he described as ‘Scorecard of Tangible Projects’.
He disclosed that he has shown visible presence in almost all the five wards in Ohuhu, with the remaining one almost at an dvanced stage of completion.
Hon Onuzuruike said he has constructed a Magistrate Court at Okaiuga Nkwoegwu which he would commission soon, attracted 4 classroom blocks both at Isingwu and Umuezeoma in Umuhu ward through ASUBEB, and constructed an oil and cassava processing mill at
Umuire, in addition to the installed 33 KVA transformer at Umuohuru Nkwoegwu ward.
The Lawmaker also noted that he has renovated Umuakam Eziala community Hall in Nkwoegwu ward, abd embarked on the completion of Umuawa Alaocha Civic hall in Nkwoachara Ward as well as built a skill acquisition center at Ofeme Umuhu Ward. Hon Onuzuruike also reconstructed the popular Nkwoegwu market in Nkwoegwu ward.
He therefore assured that he would continue to make laws and attract projects that will impact on the lives of his constituents.
Hon Onuzuruike explained that due to the quality service PDP representaives render in Ohuhu, members of other politica parties, especially APC and APGA are rushing to join the PDP in Ohuhu Umuahia.
While welcoming the decampees on behalf of the state Chairman of the PDP, the state treasurer of PDP in Abia State, Prince Ben Okezie noted that the PDP is a big umbrella and will accommodate every body.
He promised them that all their rights and privileges will be given to them and thanked Hon Onuzuruike for his quality representation.
The deputy Chairman Umuahia North LGA, Chief Bob Agbugba expressed happiness that Hon Onuzuruike celebrated his quality representation in a spectacular way with members of his constituency.
He explained to the decampees that what is happening in the country today with heightened security trends does is not give any one hope to continue in the present government of APC.
He disclosed that the PDP in Ohuhu has concluded plans to move into the grassroots to get more members, describing it as the hope for Nigeria.
