The leadership and members of the Orji Uzor Kalu Movement, OUK, Abia State have commended the senator representing Abia North senatorial district, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu for the massive Infrastructural developments going on in Abia North which he attracted. The group also assured Senator Orji Kalu of their total support in his efforts to make Abia a model state.
The group stated this in a resolution passed by members during its expanded state executive meeting in Umuahia weekend.
Also, the OUK Movement Abia State thanked the Chief Whip of the Senate and leader of the Movement for donating 10,000 Oil Palm seedlings to members to support the agric business of the group members.
The members of the OUK Movement in their communique signed the state chairman, Engr Agu Ndukwe Orji, expressed their worry over the security trends in the South East, while calling on its members to be security conscious as they go about their legitimate businesses.
The expanded meeting further resolved that members should work assiduously towards the realisation of the ideals of the OUK Movement as ably led by the distinguished Senator Orji Kalu, who according to the group is poised to better the lots of the citizenry.
Speaking on the sidelines of the expanded state executive committee meeting, which was made up of members of the state Exco and 17 LGA chairmen, Engr Agu Ndukwe Orji said the OUK Movement has taken roots with grassroots support.
He said as an organization they are concerned and interested in leadership and service, adding that it would be difficult to achieve if the political space is not sanitized.
The Abia state chairman of the OUK Movement called on the leadership to ensure the stability of the country for business and political activities to strive.
