The Abia State Governor Dr Alex Otti has been urged to continue to commit himself to the service of God and humanity, as the Almighty One has given him the great task of healing the land.
This is as the Governor and his administration have been assured of the unflinching support, and understanding of the body of Christ, in the efforts to reclaim and restore the lost glory and dignity of Aba, and the entire Abia state.
At the Aba fund-raise for the Abia State Security Trust Fund, the Founder and Spiritual Head of the Jesus Holy Ministry, Aba, Dr Linus Onyia while making the only donation of N2 million from a faith based organization, assured of the continued and unwavering commitment of the Children and Messengers of God toward identifying and working in concert with the Abia State Governor in repositioning the battered identity, and fortunes of the state.
The head of one of the largest faith based organizations in the commercial nerve centre of the state, speaking during an interactive session with the media after the event, informed that the decision of his ministry, to be part and parcel of the security trust fundraiser, is premised on the clear manifestation of the transformational leadership of the Governor Otti led administration in the state.
”We are here because we believe in the Abia renewal project, as expounded and being implemented by our amiable Governor.
”We are part of this security trust fund raiser because, we want the wind of transformation blowing in many sectors of the state’s economy to be replicated and surpassed in the area of security.
”Economic growth and development, without adequate security will not stand the test of time. As was pointed out by other speakers at the event, we need enhanced security measures to be able to reap the benefits of economic growth.
”There is no gainsaying the fact that Aba has fully recovered from the huge shock of yesteryears exodus of both individuals and businesses, owing to dilapidated infrastructural facilities and insecurity.
”The Governor Otti”s restoration process which began with the infrastructural renewal project, must be vigorously matched with enhanced security architecture and presence so as to secure and complete the rehabilitation and healing process.
”We were all witnesses to the exodus that hit Aba, both in the area of human and material resources, owing to huge infrastructural deficit, and serious security challenges.
”But those of us tendering God’s pastures in Churches will bear witness to the fact that normalcy has truly returned as most of the faces that suddenly disappeared from the Ministry’s Service halls, and grounds have relocated back to the city, owing to enhance security and better infrastructural facilities.
”Our belief in the Holy Jesus Ministry is that the Governor has done well; that he has so far deployed the state’s resources to the service of humanity and God. Therefore, we are ready to support him at any level to complete the good works he has started.
”We are ever ready to be partners in the Abia renewal project and transformational agenda of our amiable and performing Governor,” Bishop Onyia stated.
He, therefore, called on religious and community leaders, all relevant stakeholders, including faith based organizations to be part of the campaign to strengthen security in Abia state.
According to the man of God, besides monetary donations, the people can be part of the security project by way of partnering with the system in intelligence gathering.
”Like the Governor rightly pointed out during his address at the fundraiser, people should believe and key into what the Government is doing.
It does not necessarily entail making monetary contributions. But the people can support by way of embracing and protecting what the Government is doing to improve the welfare and well-being of residents of the state,” Dr Onyia added.
Meanwhile, the Windows’ Organization International Aba was not left out in the mass embrace of the campaign to raise the state’s security bar, as it made a N200,000 donation to the security trust fund.
The Aba Security Trust Fundraiser which was held at the Aba Sports Club, was put together by the Aba business Community, as a fellow up to the July 25, 2025 Umuahia launch.
