The Umuda Okpuala Development Union Okpu-Isingwu Autonomous Community Ohuhu in Umuahia North Local Government Area, LGA, will on Wednesday 18th December, 2024 present its Village Head elect, Elder Okechukwu Nwabueze before His Royal Majesty, Eze Kingsley Alozie Emekobum, the Okpu Ngwu 1 of Okpu Isingwu Autonomous community and the Eze-in-council for capping.
The presentation and capping of Elder Okechukwu Nwabueze as village head is expected to usher in a new dawn in Umuda Okpuala village given his wide acceptability. Elder Nwabueze is a Biafran war veteran and farmer, who until now was the vice chairman of Umuokorie Family Union, Umuda Okpuala.
He is expected to bring his many years of experience in community leadership and tradition to drive the cultural renaissance of Umuda Okpuala one of the prominent villages in Ohuhu known for its traditional and cultural heritage.
Therefore, the Umuda Okpuala Development Union says it is inviting Ndi Ohuhu, friends and well-wishers to the presentation and capping ceremony, which takes place on Wednesday 18th December, 2024 at the Royal Palace of Okpu-Isingwu by 12noon. That reception follows thereafter at the Umuda Okpuala civic hall, while the special guests will be entertained at the residence of the new Village head.
Elder Okechukwu Nwabueze succeeds Chief Ndubuisi Echebiri as Village Head of Umuda Okpuala.
