Labour Party lawmaker representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Hon. Obi Aguocha, has secured the party’s ticket for the 2027 general election after emerging unopposed in the primary election.
Aguocha described his return as a vote of confidence in his performance, character, and the growing popularity of the Labour Party in Abia State. He expressed optimism that the party would retain its dominance in the state, citing the achievements of Governor Alex Otti and other Labour Party leaders.
The federal lawmaker pledged to complete ongoing projects, fulfil campaign promises, and remain focused on service delivery. He also urged residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards and participate actively in the 2027 elections.
