Empire Iweha, Ohuhu Born SSA On Surveillance To Kogi Govt Expresses Appreciation, Calls Gov Ododo A Detribalized Leader

The newly appointed Senior Special Adviser, SSA, on Surveillance to Kogi State Governor Alhaji Usman Dodo, has expressed his appreciation to the Governor for his magnanimity in finding him worthy to serve the state, and contribute to its development irrespective of his ethnic or religious disposition.

Ugwumba Empire Iweha, the SSA on Surveillance to Gov Ododo of Kogi State is a native of Ngwoegwu Ohuhu in Umuahia North Local Government Area, LGA, of Abia State. Until his recent appointment, he is the President General of Igbo Youth Congress, IYC, Kogi State, and famous for his humanitarian and charity works within and outside Kogi State.

In an interview with NewsCritic online, Ugwumba Iweha said he is happy to inform that this is the first time a candidate of Igbo origin from Ohuhu is given a political appointment in Kogi State, attributing it to the Kogi Governor’s belief in competence and service delivery, and not based on any ethnic considerations.

The SSA Surveillance also used the opportunity to extend his thanks to the former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for laying the solid foundation upon which incumbent Gov Ododo is building on, saying that the appointment came at a time the Igbo community in Kogi were getting apprehensive over the security situation of the state.

Iweha stressed that the Kogi environment is now under surveillance, while assuring of a better secured State, he promised to deploy the latest technology in Kogi to combat insecurity. “So, I want to assure that the fastest rising technology, Artificial Intelligence, AI, will be deployed to ensure a safer state for everyone”, he adds.

According to the Ohuhu born youth leader cum SSA on Surveillance, “Gov Ododo has demonstrated that he is a detribalized leader and a unifier, who has brought peace to Kogi State since he assumed office as Governor. I promise that I’ll live up to expectations in the discharge of my duties”, he notes with sense of gratitude.

He equally praised former Gov Yahaya Bello for leaving behind a good legacy, Ugwumba Iweha, therefore called on the people of Kogi State to join forces with the Governor toward the transformation of the State.     

NewsCritic online reports that this is the first time in history that the Igbo of Ohuhu Umuahia extraction would get appointment under the Kogi State Government, thereby breaking the age long jinx.

Also, the Igbo community in Kogi has expressed their delight on the appointment of Iweaha as the SSA on Surveillance, saying that Gov Ododo means well for the State, and should be supported.

Empire Iweha who prides as the youngest Chief in Ohuhu land is from Umuoshi Afugiri in Nkwoegwu autonomous community. He is reputed for his many humanitarian and charity works, the most recent being the award of scholarship to four indigent students in the tertiary school.

He has constructed several boreholes which he donated to communities in Ohuhu and Kogi, in addition to other numerous empowerment programmes he engages in that has become his hallmark.
