The Action Peoples Party, APP, Umuahia North LGA Chairman, Reverend Nnamdi Ogbuagu JP has resigned his membership of the party according to documents obtained by the NewsCritic online during the week.

Reverend Nnamdi Ogbuagu, who is also the Chairman of All Chairmen of the APP in Abia State, said his resignation from the party is to enable him review his political journey so far and make a decision on his next political movement.

He stressed that he is not declaring for any political party for now, adding that this clarification became necessary because his teeming followers have been eager to know his next political line of action, especially after APP’s outing during the 2023 General Election.

Revd Ogbuagu assured his supporters that their interests would be considered any time he decides to make any political move, or to join another political party, because of the strong political relationship that has existed between them over the years.

He thanked his numerous supporters and party men for their cooperation during his period in APP as the Umuahia North LGA Chairman of the party, noting that he didn’t take their support for granted.

The APP is one of the political parties that was promoted by the Orji Uzor Kalu family in the run up to the 2023 General Election. Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, one time chief of staff to the Abia State Government was the governorship flagbearer of the party in the last election.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that he might have returned to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, thereby leaving the APP in political limbo.
