The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, has arrested four suspected fraudsters for an alleged involvement in internet crimes.
The suspects are: Salako Segun, Bryan Emeka, Jason Odunola and Daniel Ezo.
The suspects were arrested on Friday, May 24, 2019 in the Bakare Estate, Lekki and Osapa London, Lekki areas of Lagos State.
Their arrest followed intelligence report received by the Commission.
Items recovered from the suspects include two Lexus Rx350 Sport Utility Vehicles, one Mercedes Benz Saloon and six laptops.
The suspects will soon be charged to court.
In a related development the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office has arrested two suspected fraudsters Chinedu Okeke and Patrick Odjegba.
Thirty-four years old Okeke, a purported businessman and Odjegba 42, who claims to be an Okada rider were arrested by operatives of the Commission sequel to information and intelligence gathering.
The fraudsters modus operandi is to pretend to be dealers of agro chemical products on social media platforms especially FaceBook. Through the platforms, they solicit for customers and request would-be buyers to make deposit payment including freight before the products are supplied.
The suspects have made useful statements and will be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are complete.
