The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Abia State chapter has honoured a media icon and Chairman of Don Media Group Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu, with a prestigious life achievement award.
They said the award is in recognition of his outstanding contributions to youth development and empowerment across the state and beyond.
The award was presented by the National President of the Council, Amb. Sukubu Sareigbe Sukubu, during a formal event celebrating impactful leadership and youth-focused advocacy.
Over the years, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu) has championed youth-oriented programs, established media and mentorship platforms, supported educational scholarships, and funded numerous philanthropic projects. He is the Chairman of Don Media Group and Chairman of Don Lulu Foundations.
Mayor Igbokwe has carved a niche for himself in the media and entertainment industry, where he has shown expertise with 2Flame Entertainment and Don 103.7 FM and Ikoro 93-3 FM, two wave making radio stations in Umuahia South East Nigeria.
His vision for Abia resonates well with the Abia youths who are urging him to take a shot at the governorship ticket. He has received numerous awards and recently capped it with awards from the youth groups.
On July 14, 2025, the people of Uhu-Ezi Ukwu in Umuezerola, Umuawa-Alaocha—honoured him with a prestigious merit award in recognition of his numerous contributions to youth development and empowerment.
