The Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers has honoured Royal High Chief Simeon Ogadinma Osuoha with a prestigious chieftaincy title in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of Ohuhu land.
Royal High Chief Simeon Ogadinma Osuoha was on Saturday conferred with the chieftaincy title of Mgborogwu Ohuhu by the Ohuhu traditional rulers, led by the Chairman of the Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Chionye Ngwuili.
The chieftaincy conferment was in recognition of Chief Osuoha’s meritorious service to the people of Ohuhu, particularly in the areas of community empowerment, scholarship schemes for indigent students, construction of houses for widows, and consistent support for the vulnerable members of society.
Chief Osuoha has also contributed immensely to infrastructural development in the area, including the construction of an Anglican Church in Umudiawa and the establishment of a modern oil mill to boost local economic activities.
Speaking during the ceremony, Chairman of the Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Chionye Ngwuili, called on prominent sons and daughters of Ohuhu to always remember home by contributing meaningfully to the development of their communities. He also urged them to support traditional institutions in maintaining peace and security across the various domains.
In his response, the celebrant, Chief Simeon Ogadinma Osuoha, while speaking to Ikoro FM, expressed gratitude to God and the people of Ohuhu for finding him worthy of the title Mgborogwu Ohuhu.
He said the honour would serve as a motivation for him to do even more for the community and humanity at large.
The colourful ceremony attracted traditional rulers, community leaders, and well-wishers from far and near, marking another significant moment in the history of Ohuhu land.
