As Abia State Governor H.E Dr Alex Otti marks two years in office today May 29th, 2025, the traditional ruler of Okpu-Isingwu ancient kingdom in Umuahia North Local Government Area, LGA, of Abia State, HRM Eze Kingsley Alozie Emekobum, has lauded Gov Otti for his midterm performance scorecard, describing it as unprecedented in the history of Abia State.
In a press statement issued and signed by HRM Eze Kingsley Emekobum on the occasion of Gov Otti’s two years in office, the Abia Monarch said that the Governor has restored the glory of Abia among the comity of States, as one of the best run States of the federation.
The former Chairman of the Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers thumped up Gov Otti’s infrastructural development programmes, which he said has positively affected economic activities that were at its lowest level before his coming to power in 2023.
Eze Emekobum noted with excitement the reconstruction of the all important Port Harcourt road Aba, which has helped to resuscitate many businesses which hitherto closed down, including bank branches. Likewise his intervention to rehabilitate critical roads infrastructure in Umuahia, and other areas of Abia State.
The Okpu-Ngwu 1 of Okpu Isingwu Autonomous Community expressed his joy on the celebration of Gov Otti’s two years in office, with a call on Abians to show their solidarity to the Governor to enable him implement all the developmental programmes he has for the State, saying that Abia State has never experienced this kind of leadership performance before now.
Eze Emekobum advised Gov Otti to remain focused in delivering democratic dividends to Abians, and should not be distracted by the mindless criticisms of the opposition in the State, promising to stand by the government and its people’s oriented programmes to succeed.
