NARTO Begins Sensitization Tour Of Units In Aba, Cautions Members Not To Work Against The Interest, Directives Of Gov Otti

The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners, NARTO, Abia State has  cautioned its members against playing opposition politics in Abia or working against the interests of Gov Alex Otti, saying that it’s imperative that the Governor wins all their support and votes for a second term in office.

‎This message was delivered to the Ariaria and Uratta Timber NARTO Units on Wednesday 14th May, 2025 during the sensitization visit of the State leadership of the transport union led by Chief Amaobi Ohaeri and other members of the executive.

‎While addressing the gathering of NARTO members, who gathered at the Uratta Timber Unit and Ariaria Junction Unit loading bays respectively, Chief Amaobi Ohaeri maintained that Governor Alex Otti has done great in the area of road infrastructure, emphasising that it the NARTO should reciprocate this gesture by supporting the Governor and ensuring that he succeeds in winning a second term in office.

‎He said “as transporters if the roads are good, I think our vehicles will be in good condition. So, the obligation is to help the Governor to win a second term to complete the good works he is doing”.

‎The NARTO State Chairman thanked God for the gift of Gov Otti, and advised members never to work against the interest and directives of the Governor.

‎He stressed that he embarked on the tour to first of all thank the members for reelecting him for a second term, and to drum support for the activities and directives of Governor Otti.

‎Chief Ohaeri encouraged the members to  ensure that they participate in the vehicle enumeration policy of the State government, and also to continue to buy their daily tickets. According to him the enumeration exercise is important due to its security implications, while the daily tickets is obligatory because the revenue generated is being put to good use by the State government.

‎”As for the daily tickets I believe we are already doing that, so continue. Our happiness is that we are seeing were the money we are paying is going”.

‎NewsCritic online reports that the sensitization visit will be rounded off in Umuahia in the next five days.

‎Some of the executive members who accompanied the State Chairman on the tour include, Chief Aloy Okoli (Alagwa) the Vice Chairman, Chief Sir Akwarandu, Mr Franklin Eti, Chief Akunne, Chief Cletus Umeh chairman Osisioma unit, Mazi Benjamin UBA, Hon Michael Ezichinyere and Hon Chidi Osuoku.

‎The sensitization tours continues Thursday with Osisioma unit and others.
