The Mayor of Umuahia North Local Government Area, LGA, H/Chief Victor Ikeji’s sponsored Skills Acquisition Programme for residents of Umuahia North will commence training for the second batch of interested candidates soon, according to a press release issued by the Chief Press Secretary Tochukwu Eluwa.
He said “we are happy to announce that the Mayor of Umuahia North LGA, Hon. High Chief Victor Ikeji, Ph.D. has approved the flag-off of the second batch of the Umuahia North Skills Acquisition Program.
“This program seeks to equip individuals with valuable skills that will empower them to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of our community.
NewsCritic online reports that a total of 120 slots are available for this batch the release said, adding that “interested applicants across the 12 wards of the council area are by this notice encouraged to apply for these empowerment opportunity using this link https://forms.gle/ZDFJ1nQgqUZpJpoH9
The skill acquisition program offers six different courses for this batch, which includes:
• Computer Hardware repairs & Networking
•Carpentry
•Welding
•Cosmetology
•Event Decoration and
•Baking & Cake making.
“Through these skills acquisition programs, we aim to cater to a diverse range of interests and talents in our community.
This application is open from today, July 3rd to July 15th, 2024.
“We, therefore, urge all interested individuals to submit their applications promptly using the link provided before the deadline.
