Beneficiaries Of Abia State Govt Sponsored Agro Training Commend Chris Nwa-Abia, Austin Nmeregini For Support

The beneficiaries of the Abia State Government sponsored agro programmes at the CSS Global Farms, Nassarawa, from Umuahia North LGA have expressed their appreciation to Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia, the founder of Team Nwa-Abia Movement and the Deputy Speaker Abia State House of Assembly Rt Hon Austin Nmeregini, for their moral and financial support to the trainees.
The spokesperson of the Umuahia North trainees, Comrade Ndukwe Sanchez, said that Chief Chris Nwa-Abia is the only individual among the many concerned citizens of Umuahia North, who took pains to visit the trainees at the CSS Global Farms Nassarawa weekend.
He said the Umuahia North trainees, numbering about 28 are appreciative of Chris Nwa-Abia, who holds the traditional title of Ihie Ohuhu and Omeroha Isingwu, for his benevolence and concern for their welfare.
He added that Chris Nwa-Abia, apart from the words of encouragement, gave them goodies in order to augument the government efforts.
Chris Nwa-Abia, the Ohuhu born entrepreneur and philanthropist has voiced his readiness to support any government initiatives that will lead to food security and help the masses to be self- reliant. It is for this reason that he has sponsored many youth empowerment programmes, as well as given empowerment grants to over 50 small business owners in Ohuhu, to help them grow and expand their businesses.
The Abia State Government had sponsored 300 Abians to CSS Global Farms to be trained in modern day agro business. The programme has two weeks duration, and Governor Alex Otti is expected to come back for the closing ceremony and issuance of certificates to the trainees on Friday 28 June, 2024.
Beside Chris Nwa-Abia, who visited the trainees from Umuahia North, some notable politicians and government officials were said to have sent messages and support packages to the trainees. Notable among them are Rt Hon Austin Nmeregini Deputy Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, the Deputy General Manager ASEPA and Hon Chinasa Anthony, the member representing Umuahia Central State Constituency, among others.
