Members of the Team Nwa-Abia Movement, TNM, on Sunday 5th May, 2024 paid a visit to the All Progressives Congress, APC, Umuahia North LGA Chairman Chief Iheanyi Ekwuruibe to wish him quick recovery after he was hospitalised for an undisclosed ailment.
The Team Nwa-Abia Movement was accompanied in the visit by all the former and serving APC ward chairmen and officials in Ohuhu, who decided to reunite after the 2023 General Election.
While welcoming the group to his Umuawa residence, the APC LGA Chairman thanked the group for coming to identify with him following the health challenge he had experienced lately, saying that he feels much better now.
Chief Ekwuruibe praised the founder of the Team Nwa-Abia Movement, Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia, whom he described as a great politician who does not discriminate or play politics of bitterness.
“It will be well for Chris Nwa-Abia…I never knew he can remember me due to the politics. It could only take a man like him to do this and my prayer is that he will go a long way in politics. The men and women that came here today are the people that will decide what will happen when the time comes. Chris Nwa-Abia has started on a right step and we are happy for this, Chief Ekwuruibe notes.
Hon Wilson Ukaegbulam the chairman of Nkwoegwu ward took the floor to thank Nwa-Abia, adding that others played 2023 politics and disappeared but that Chris Nwa-Abia has remain visible and outstanding in his activities. He urged the group to create another forum in which Chris Nwa-Abia would be present to see everyone.
H/Chief Mgbelile Iheanacho Chijioke the Umuhu ward Chairman said what has happened today is in line with the Ohuhu spirit of Onye aghala nwanneya, while extending his warm greetings to Chris Nwa-Abia.
Chief Otuekere and elder Ikpo all spoke glowingly of the founder of Team Nwa-Abia Movement, and expressed their delight for the gathering.
The highpoint of the visit was the prayer and presentation of monetary gift to Ekwuruibe by the coordinator of TNM comrade Chika Nwabueze, on behalf of Chris Nwa-Abia.
The visit was a reunion for the Team Nwa-Abia Movement and the APC in Ohuhu after their differences, arising from the party’s primaries for the Umuahia North State constituency election in 2023.
