The Mayor of Umuahia North Local Government Area, LGA, H/Chief Victor Ikeji has commended the initiator of De Soul Rich Motor Park, Mr Nwanaga Esonu R for the resourcefulness, saying that the Abia State government is against illegal and unapproved motor park operations in the state.
Mayor Victor Ikeji made this commendation during the official opening ceremony of De Soul Rich Motor Park located at the Umuahia Express Tower area on Thursday 28 March, 2024. The Mayor who was represented by the Deputy Mayor Hon Anthony Amah, while commissioning the new motor park, said that he is impressed with what he has seen on ground at the motor park.
He commended the initiator of the project Mr Nwanaga Esonu R for executing the project which is worth commending. The Mayor warned operators of illegal motor parks along the express tower area to move into the government approved park immediately before the law enforcement agencies will apprehend them, adding that Governor Alex Otti is building a new Abia and wants all hands to be on the deck.
Said the Deputy Mayor “this administration frowns at illegal operation of motor parks, and you will agree with me that Umuahia was like a gloried village, and we now have a government that is out to change the narrative. The government need the support of everyone to be able to achieve this goal, he notes.
Hon Anthony Ama said that the Umuahia North LGA is always available and ready to assist the founder of De Soul Rich motor park any time he needs their assistance, and praised him for building a standard motor park.
The founder of De Soul Rich Motor Park, Mr Nwanaga Esonu R in his remarks thanked the Mayor and his team for coming to perform the official opening ceremony. He said that De Soul Rich Motor Park is the only government approved park at the express tower area, and asked the illegal operators of motor parks to assist the government by returning to the approved park without delay for sanity.
He said the ultra-modern park has a lot of facilities, including offices for ticketing, convenience, space for extension etc and thanked God for making the project become a reality. He stressed that the park is open to anyone or groups who wishes to use the facilities.
