Chris Nwa-Abia Announces Plans To Distribute Coal Stoves, Bags Of Charcoal To Women In Celebration Of Mother’s Day

The founder of the Team Nwa-Abia Movement, Chief (Dr) Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia has announced plans to distribute Charcoal Stoves and bags of Charcoal to women in Isingwu community in celebration of the 2024 International Women’s Day.

In a press statement issued in Umuahia by Team Nwa-Abia Movement, Chief Chris Nwa-Abia said that over 200 charcoal stoves and 200 bags of charcoal will be distributed within the next one week to women, including the widows and the indigent in the society as part of his programme to mark the Women’s Day celebration.

He said that he is concerned on how to support and improve the livelihoods for rural women, adding that he has implemented programmes that have benefitted women in the communities, and would continue to do so because of their strategic role in the society.

“We are distributing 200 charcoal Stoves and 200 bags of charcoal to the Isingwu women for a start in celebration of this year’s women’s Day. The idea is to encourage the indigent women to discover the efficiency and benefits of using charcoal as alternative cooking energy in relation to the use of cooking gas, the statement notes.

Continuing he disclosed that the advantages of coal stove is far greater because it is environmentally friendly and cost effective, which makes it a good alternative to cooking gas.

Chris Nwa-Abia promised to extend the gesture to the larger Ohuhu women very soon, adding that a bag of charcoal can meet the cooking needs of a family for three months or even more depending…

He congratulated the women for their special role in the society, promising to always protect the interest of women in his empowerment programmes, while wishing them a happy Mother’s Day.
