The leadership of Ohuhu Welfare Union – Worldwide led by Chief Johnson Uwazie, have described the Mayor of Umuahia North LGA as an illustrious son of Ohuhuland, who has the interest of the people at heart.
The Ohuhu executives while speaking during their visit on Wednesday, 21st February, 2024 said they were in the office of their kinsman to appreciate the governor for appointing not just their son but one of their best as the Mayor of the council.
The President-General, who spoke on behalf of other executive members, said that Mayor Ikeji has been a man who has always been supportive of the Ohuhuland and its people.
He recalled the role the Mayor played to midwife the elections that birthed the current executive.
He commended the Mayor for his developmental strides within a short time since his appointment. The PG assured him of the support of the welfare union and the entire people of Ohuhuland.
Mayor Ikeji, in his response, appreciated his kinsmen for the visit. He assured them of his commitment to ensure the development of Ohuhuland and the entire Umuahia North.
Mayor Ikeji also used the opportunity to call on Ohuhu Elites to eschew bitterness and all forms of bickering and unite to collectively develop Ohuhuland.
In the company of the President-General, other executives who were part of the delegation include; Comrade Akachi Nwogu Secretary- General, Chief Emenike Nwokocha, Treasurer; Hon Prince Obioma Oburuoga, Publicity Secretary, Eze Ugochukwu Kindness -Provost.
