The Mayor of Umuahia North LGA, Hon.High-Chief Victor Ikeji, today, Wednesday 31st January, 2024 received a briefing on the state of security from all the heads of the various security agencies in Umuahia North LGA.
The Mayor speaking after a close-door meeting with the security chiefs said the meeting was to ensure that criminals and other purveyors of insecurity do not have a free day within the capital city.
He assured them of his support to ensure that Umuahia is safe for all residents and businesses.
The Security Heads on their part assured the Mayor of their commitment to ensure that Umuahia North is not a haven for criminals.
Recall that during his inauguration, H/Chief Victor Ikeji promised to make security a priority among other issues due to its importance to overall development of any society. Since then he has not relented in ensuring that Umuahia North LGA is secured as crime rate has drastically reduced since he came to office due to his various engagements with stakeholders and security agencies.
