The Ugo Oma Age Grade Okpu-Isingwu has paid the West Africa Senior School Certificate, WASSC, registration fees for 10 students of the Community Secondary School Isingwu.
According to the Age Grade, the gesture which is in line with its vision is to help the parents shoulder the responsibility of registering their wards for WAEC, at a time that many families are facing difficulties making ends meet.
The chairman of Ugo Oma Age Grade, Chief Abuchi Gabriel, commended members of the age grade association for contributing towards the realisation of this noble cause.
He said the registration of students for WAEC would henceforth be an annual affair, which is targeted at improving on all facets of needs of the community.
The chairman tasked the parents and students who benefited from this gesture to make good use of this great opportunity provided for them.
Obinna Dorbel Ndubueze and Chukwunenye Nwabueze were on ground to represent the age grade during the official ceremony. They called on other age grades in the community to join in the efforts of making Isingwu community secondary school to get back on its feet.
Meanwhile, the Community Secondary School Isingwu Old Students Association, Class of 1988 also paid for the WAEC registration of six students of the school as a way of giving back to the school and society.
