Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, on Thursday inaugurated 19 reputable Nigerians, who have distinguished themselves in various sectors of national and global economy and finance, into the Abia Global Economic Advisory Council (AGEAC). The Advisory Council is chaired by the former Director General of Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and currently a member of the Global Leadership Council of SAID Business School, University of Oxford, England, Ms. Arunma Oteh. Appointed as Co-Chairmen for the Council are the 14th Emir of Kano and former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, His Highness Muhammad Sanusi II; and Managing Director of Chapel Hill Denham, and CIO Nigeria Infrastructure Debt Fund, Mr. Bolaji Balogun. They will work with 16 other members including the President of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and former Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; and President of Afrexim Bank, Dr. Benedict Oramah, who were appointed as Honourary Advisors.
