Vasity VC Hails Students Performance, Says Institution Becoming Centre Of Academic Excellence

The Vice Chancellor of Rehma University Aba Abia state Professor Ogbonnaya Onwudike has assured that the institution will spare no efforts in ensuring the continuous production of quality products for Nigeria and global marketplace.

He gave the assurance while reacting to the sterling performance posted by the university’s nursing students at this year’s basic nursing examination recently conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, in which the institution’s participating students recorded over 95 percent success record.

In a statement issued and signed by the university’s head of information and public relations department, Mr Earl Okezie and made available to the media, of the 33 participating students only one referral was recorded.

Prof Onwudike commended the students for being good ambassadors of the nascent citadel of learning, adding that this feat is coming on the heels of a few years of existence as a university.

He called on the students and major stakeholders of the institution, not to relent in the task of making the university a center of academic excellence, noting that hard work remains the key to unlocking potentials in life.

Head of the Nursing Science Department, Dr Florence Udoinyang, while commending the students for making the university community proud, appreciated the institution’s authorities for creating the enabling environment for the thriving of academic excellence.
