The harmonious working relationship between the Abia state Governor Dr Alex Oti and his Deputy Engr Ikechukwu Emetu has been described as unprecedented since the advent of the current political dispensation.
In the same vein, the synergy if sustained holds the key to the unlocking of the developmental potentials of the state.
The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders COSEYL, which gave the verdict in a statement made available to the press in Aba on Thursday August 17 2023 noted that the cordial relationship between the duo has within their shot period in office impacted positively on the lives of Abians.
COSEYL in the press statement cited the seamless and timely restoration of electricity power to the Ohafia communities, within the shortest possible time after power disruptions occasioned by the activities of vandals as an eloquent testimony to the preparedness of the present regime to changing the narrative of Abia.
” The quick intervention of the state government, through the office of the Deputy Governor in ensuring that the people never stayed in darkness for too long has sign posted the fact that there is a good team in place in the governance space of Abia state.
This is the first time Abia state has been blessed with not only a leadership peopled by like minds, but a team that equally understand and appreciate the yearnings and aspirations of those that elected them.
The statement jointly signed by Comrades Good luck Ibem and Okey Nwaoru President- General and Publicity Secretary respectively COSEYL, while drumming support for the administration, warned against any attempt at unnecessary distractions by some over fed political elements under the guise of opposition.
The Youth organization particularly condemned the recent efforts by some well-known authors of Abia present backwardness, at distracting the Present regime through most times frivolous and self-serving criticisms.
It regretted that most of the later day critics of the Governor Otti,s administration are those who for 24 years had the opportunity of midwifing a prosperous state ,but instead chose to milk it dry.
We are therefore urging the government to remain focused and refuse to be lured into mundane activities by failed political actors ” COSEYL stated.
