Rev. Augustine Ehiemere and his team end their ward campaign tour of Ugwunagbo Local Government Area, with Hon. Henry Nna playing a major role.
The State Chairman presents the APGA candidate for Abia House of Assembly to HRH Eze Ezeji Dr. Chimaeze N. Ogbonna, the Ezeoma 11 of Ngwa oma Autonomous Community in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area, gives him gifts.
This happened on December 31, 2022 when the State Chairman and his team visited Ward 4 in Ugwunagbo, a ward with 37 polling units, known as a ward with the greatest number of polling units in Ugwunagbo. In the palace of the traditional ruler, Rev. Ehiemere gave the traditional ruler some gifts and emphasized very strongly that Prof. Greg Ibe is the saviour of Ndi Abia. And he told the ruler of Hon. Henry Nna’s unique potentials, pleading that he should see to it that he emerges winner at the polls.
In the words of the State Chairman, “Prof. Greg Ibe is interested in bringing development to Ugwunagbo. He is the man God wants to use to liberate Abia. And since Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has failed to better the lives of the people of Ugwunagbo, Prof. Greg Ibe is determined to change the narrative by making sure that the roads in the area are constructed.”
He assured the traditional ruler that APGA Abia state will take over Government House, Umuahia come 2023 and that Senator Enyi Abaribe is the best candidate that will represent Abia South in the Senate, stating that the position of a Senator shouldn’t be given to a man who lacks legislative experience.
In his response, Eze Chimaeze Ogbonna thanked the members of APGA, and he prayed for the successful outing of Prof. Greg Ibe. Maintaining that APGA is a political party for the Igbo, the traditional ruler wished Henry Nna well.
Back to the venue of the meeting, the Prof. Greg Ibe Campaign Council Youth Leader, Michael Okorie (White) praised Prof. Greg Ibe for building an Innovation Centre in Abuja. And he assured Ugwunagbo youths that Prof. Greg Ibe, if elected Governor, will provide jobs for their unemployed youths.
Read Michael Okorie (White), “It is a pity that our youths are unemployed, and the worst is that Abia young graduates are now frustrated, because the rate of unemployment has hit the rooftop, and for them to survive, many of them have resorted to riding of tricycles (keke), instead of practising what they have studied in the universities. It is painful. But this suffering must end in Abia, and the only person that can put a stop to unemployment in Abia is Prof. Greg Ibe. He is good at creating jobs, being an expert in entrepreneurship, and with him as Governor, Abia will experience great transformation.”
Addressing the APGA family in Ward 4, Rev. Ehiemere assured them that Prof. Greg Ibe is the people’s choice, and that the will of the people must prevail at the end of the day.
Revealing what Sen Enyinnaya Abaribe had told him in private, the State Chairman of APGA said, “I had visited Sen Enyi Abaribe in the recent past and he told me in confidence that APGA Abia state had not lost governorship elections in the past. Rather, the elections were rigged, but this time, with the new Electoral Act, rigging would be checkmated.”
The ward campaign tour in Ugwunagbo ended in Ward 5, after the team had met with the APGA family in Ward 3.
Each of the three wards received 20 cartons of noodles and 30 bags of rice, and a specific amount of money was given to the three wards too.
