Abia State Commissioner for Finance and Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Stakeholders in Ohuhu, Dr Aham Uko, has said that it is the collective duty of the party members to ensure that its flagbearer for Umuahia North (Ohuhu) State Constituency seat in the 2023 General Election, Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha wins the election.

Dr Aham Uko also observed that this coming General Election will be different in so many ways, as he called on the PDP Stakeholders in Ohuhu and the party’s candidate Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha to go back to their various units and do the needful, and ensure they appeal to the conscience of the people because vote buying will not work.

Speaking further at the stakeholders meeting held at the residence of Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha in Amafor Isingwu, the Abia State Commissioner for Finance maintained that the PDP stakeholders must show commitment and resolve in supporting the candidature of Ugochukwu Ezeocha, adding that the PDP candidate must humble himself and make himself to be seen as a servant leader.

Said Dr Uko “we shall give you our support, we shall stand with you to ensure that at the end of the day we are victorious. In helping him we are helping ourselves because we have our integrity at stake, so that at the end it is PDP and I know this project will succeed, he notes.

Also speaking at the meeting, member representing Umuahia North State Constituency Rt Hon Kelechi Onuzurike, said that he is optimistic that his successor would be Ugochukwu Ezeocha, adding that it will be PDP to PDP and victory for all the party’s candidates come 20023.

Prince Ben Okezie, the PDP State Treasurer insisted that this election and campaign will be different because everything will come from the unit and not collation centre. He pointed out that as critical stakeholders there is need to start canvassing support in the units. He expressed confidence in PDP emerging victorious because according to him the party picked the right candidate in Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha.

He says “nobody should be afraid our candidates have something to showcase, we have a good product. This house of assembly seat since 1999 Ohuhu has been PDP, and it will not fail in our hands. Let us be united by God’s grace we shall succeed”, he submits.

Rt Hon Emeka Ejiogu, Chief Clement Onyeoziri, Chief Lucky Akabuike, Chief Okey Ihedioha, Chief Ebisike Okengwu, including the ward chairmen took their turns to harp on the need for the stakeholders to deliver their respective units and wards for the PDP candidate during the election.
