PDP Isingwu Ward Meets, Poised On Mobilizing Support For Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha’s Candidature

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Isingwu Ward Ohuhu in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State on Monday, 22 August, 2022 held a meeting at Nkwoachara Square to mobilize members ahead of the forthcoming 2023 General Election.

In his opening remarks at the programme the PDP ward chairman Hon Nduka Omekara thanked the party members for turning out in their large numbers despite the short notice for the meeting, adding that the party decided to hold the meeting to brainstorm and encourage members on the need to remain loyal to the party.

Nduka Omekara said the PDP candidate for Umuahia North (Ohuhu) State Constituency seat in the person of Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha must be given the maximum support to succeed at the poll, while calling on the members to join hands to make the PDP successful. He said that Isingwu is PDP enclave, hence the party should ensure it remains united in the run up to the General Election.

Some of the speakers at the meeting harped on the need for the party to remain united and support Ugochukwu Ezeocha, the party’s flagbearer for the Umuahia North state constituency seat. Chief Chibo Nwagbara, Elder Okeaghialam Ummunnakwe, and Hon Dan all spoke on the importance of growing the party and making it stronger in the ward.

They congratulated Ugochukwu Ezeocha for emerging the party’s candidate, maintaining that he is a good candidate for the Umuahia North Legislative job. They promised to ensure that the party mobilise well during the election.

While speaking to the party members, Hon Ezeocha prayed God to reposition Isingwu politically, just as he told the people to be hopeful of a better tomorrow. He advised them to be proud members of PDP and support the party’s candidates at all levels.
