Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stakeholders and members in Umuahia North (Ohuhu) State Constituency convened weekend to rally support for the candidature of Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha the party’s candidate for Umuahia North state constituency in the 2023 General Election, assuring that the PDP would sustain its victory in the state.
The ward leaders and executives who commended Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha’s style of politics, said that the PDP candidate for Umuahia North State Constituency is a disciplined and focused politician, who is not after his personal gains, adding that his emergence as member of the Abia State House of Assembly come 2023 would be of greater benefits to Ohuhu people in particular and Abia State in general.
Chief Nwanneakolam George who also spoke at the gathering, stressed that Hon Ezeocha is an experienced and resourceful candidate who has remained with the PDP throughout the existence of the party even when the odds did not favour him. He assured the people of Umuahia North Constituency that Hon Ezeocha would make them proud at the end when elected member of the Abia State House of Assembly in 2023.
Mr Eze Anochie while calling on Ohuhu people to go get their PVC explained that the party stakeholders want a core PDP person to represent them, noting that Hon Ezeocha is someone who can represent Ohuhu very well and described him as a second term lawmaker.
The Deputy Leader Umuahia North Legislative Council and councilor representing Umuhu ward, asked the party members to continue with sensitization work before the campaigns would begin, describing PDP as the only organised party in Abia. He said that Hon Ezeocha is the best qualified candidate to represent Ohuhu, while calling on Ndi Ohuhu to support his candidature.
Barrister Odokara, a PDP stakeholder in Umuahia North LGA extolled the qualities of Hon Ezeocha, declaring that this is his time. He maintained that Ezeocha as member Abia State House of Assembly would not fail in his mandate to use the position for the benefit of the people of Umuahia North State Constituency and Abia State in general.
Addressing the party stakeholders and ward leaders from the various wards in Ohuhu, Hon Ezeocha thanked everyone, while urging them to be hopeful of a better tomorrow.
He said he has been around and had seen the tenure of the late Rt Hon Nkem Ike, Chief Clement Onyeoziri, Rt Hon Emeka Ejiogu and Rt Hon Kelechi Onuzurike, who did their bits. Hon Ezeocha said he would improve on the areas where they didn’t score high marks because they did their best.
The Umuahia North State Constituency candidate of the PDP called for a collective effort to make Ohuhu Umuahia a better place for all of us.
He promised to be open to advice just as he said he would carry everyone along to ensure that the party’s victory is sustained from the state assembly to the governorship.
