Lucky Igbokwe Meets Stakeholders At Arochukwu, Ohafia, Says He’ll Replicate Okpara’s Achievements If Elected Abia Gov

Abia governorship aspirant and United Nation Mayor for Peace, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe aka Don Lulu, has promised to replicate the great accomplishments of the late Dr M.I Okpara if given the opportunity to serve as Abia governor in 2023.

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, governorship contestant and founder of Don Lulu Foundation during the weekend visited PDP stakeholders and Delegates at Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs, respectively to preach the message of Freedom and to solicit for their support in the party’s governorship primaries.

Mayor Lucky Igbokwe said that through the Don Lulu Foundation he has touched many lives, built homes for the indigent and widow in our midst as well as awarded scholarship to indigent students in addition to his numerous youth empowerment programmes.

He promised that as a true born son of Ohuhu land, known for their integrity and leadership skills, he would replicate the achievements of Dr M.I Okpara, deploying his wide network of international connections to attracting investors to the state.

Lucky Igbokwe said he would offer free health care and education, as well as build skill acquisition centres all over the state to train the youths on acquiring a skill, adding that Ohuhu people have a good history since the era of the eastern region and never failed.

He said he would use his background as an entertainment expert who has made a success of his private business to turn around the fortunes of Abia State, pointing out that the time to put things right is now.

Speaking on behalf of the Arochukwu stakeholders, former commissioner for special Duties and Project Implementation, Chief JJ Okoro noted that he has seen the zeal and passion in Mayor Igbokwe to replicate what Okpara and Mbakwe did in the past. He pledged the support of Arochukwu delegates in the actualisation of his governorship aspiration, while urging him not to be discouraged but to march on.

The youth leader said the youths ‘kwerekwe’ that it is Mayor Lucky Igbokwe they would follow to represent the youths. He begged the governorship aspirant to help construct Arochukwu roads when elected because that’s their major headache, as according to him they access their LGA headquarters through another state due to lack of accessible roads. The youths and women prayed for him to come and rescue Abia from godfatherism.

Meanwhile, Don Lulu will Tuesday 9th May, 2022 formally declare his interest to run for the office of the governor of Abia state under the platform of the PDP. The declaration will take place at the PDP secretariat Umuahia by 10am.
