Abia born business mogul, philanthropist and Entertainment icon, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe and his campaign Organisation have announced a shift in the date of his formal declaration of interest in the Abia governorship race.
The rally/public declaration of interest for the governorship was originally scheduled to hold tomorrow Friday May 6th, 2022 at Umuahia the Abia State capital. However, a new date has been fixed for May 10th, 2022, according to the Ekweremekwe campaign organization.
Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, who is seeking to govern Abia State under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has already sent out invitations to his numerous friends, well-wishers and supporters across the globe for the historic event before the postponement.
A statement from the Mayor Lucky Igbokwe Campaign Organization, says it regrets to announce the postponement of the Rally which was due to circumstances beyond its control.
It further said that the rally would now hold on a new date being Tuesday 10, which is next week. The campaign Organisation said the change in date has nothing to do with security concerns as adequate security measures have been put in place to guarantee safety of all during and after the event.
The rally and official declaration of Mayor Lucky Igbokwe was slated to hold at the PDP Secretariat Finbarrs Road Umuahia.
Don Lulu, as he is fondly called by his teeming fans and supporters is one of the leading governorship contenders in Abia State, as his campaign has continued to attract more supporters, and people are joining in large numbers to campaign for the emergence of Mayor Lucky Igbokwe at the PDP primaries and General Election come 2023.
They said he has the capacity, the energy and finesse to drive Abia State to the Promised Land.
