A group that operates under the aegis of Concerned Citizens of Ohuhu Forum (CCOF), has said that the people of Umuahia North Constituency must not fail to support Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha emerge as member Abia State House of Assembly, to represent the constituency on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, come 2023.
The group also said that they are in support of the position of a university don and Ohuhu elder, Chief Samuel Uzoanya, PhD, that the Isingwu bloc is better qualified to produce the next member to represent Umuahia North (Ohuhu) State Constituency in line with the principles of justice and equity in practice.
According to the Concerned Citizens of Ohuhu Forum, the candidature of Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha is acceptable across the various divides in Ohuhu, adding that Hon Ugochukwu Ezeocha is a better qualified aspirant with experience, and also very much interested in the progress of Ohuhu land as exemplified in his numerous people-oriented activities and service to his people.
The group which spoke through its Convener, Mr Onyekachi Alajemba, said that their interest in the Constituency Race is to ensure that Ohuhu doesn’t make the mistake of electing the wrong candidate or those they described as political merchants.
He called on the delegates and the electorates to shine their eyes and vote right because according to them, a vote for Ugochukwu Ezeocha is not only a vote for altruistic service but a vote for equity and justice.
They described Ugochukwu Ezeocha as a good party man, who has remained steadfast and committed to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, ideals and development agenda.
