2023 Ohuhu Constituency Race: Abia APC Youth Leader Reveals Who’ll Win Party’s Ticket

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Youth Leader in Abia State, Hon Ikenna Anyalewechi has revealed the candidate who will emerge the party’s candidate for Umuahia North (Ohuhu) state constituency race in the forthcoming General Election.

In an exclusive interview with NewsCritic online, the Abia APC Youth Leader said that the party parades very good and credible aspirants who want to fly the party’s flag, adding that one among them stands high above others.

According to Hon Ikenna Anyalewechi who said he is on ground, the candidate that would fly the APC flag in Ohuhu is a household name in Ohuhu that anywhere you visit his name rings bell. He added that in the next two months the person would pick the party’s ticket and also win the main election.

Said he “I want to tell you that in Ohuhu all the aspirants are wonderful but I’ve one particular candidate in mind which I’ll not tell you until the election (Primaries) day. He is a household name, anywhere you go in Ohuhu and mention his name…he is a good fellow, he is a good brother and I know he will get it and also win the main election”, Hon Anyalewechi boasts.

The youth leader buttressed that in 2019 Ohuhu was for APC, insisting that the party won the election clean but for the fact that the party was commercialised then. He regretted a situation whereby a candidate of the party would be asking for peanut from opponents to trade his mandate.

“As you can see the person that came to represent Ohuhu is not here, since after that election he left the state and never has he shown up again since that time. He doesn’t have what it takes to represent Ohuhu”, he concludes.

Answering a question on the speculation that Chief Ikechi Emenike is bidding for the Abia governorship stool, he said that unless the APC leader doesn’t want to throw his hat into the ring that if he does, he is sure to win.

He described Chief Ikechi Emenike as brand people want to buy.
