The state High Court sitting in Umuahia the Abia state capital has declared the invasion and attack on the IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s house at Isiama Afaraukwu as illegal.
The court awarded one billion naira damages against the Federal Government and ordered the Federal Government to adopt political solution in releasing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has through his counsel sued the federal government seeking for the enforcement of his fundamental human rights as enshrined in the Constitution.
Before today’s ruling security was beefed up in and around the Abia state High Court premises Umuahia as security operatives barricaded the roads leading to Ikot Ekpene road where the state High Court is located.
