Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has objected to fresh charges preferred against him by the federal government, and accused the Federal Government of ambushing him with the new charges.
His legal team led by Mike Ozekhome, SAN, had asked the court to allow him time to study the new charges.
He eequested for adjournment till tomorrow Wednesday 19th, 2022 to study the new charges and for his plea to be taken.
In addition, Ozekhome claimed that the proof of evidence is not legible enough for their understanding of the fresh charges.
Meanwhile the Federal Government debunked allegations made by Kanu on feeding, practice of his religion, denial of access to family members, adding that the Federal Government is not objecting to the adjournment request by Kanu.
Consequently the case was adjourned till tomorrow Wednesday for Kanu to take his plea.
In another development Nnamdi Kanu’s supporters, security operatives clashed at Federal High Court premises Abuja today.
