Ofeme Receives Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia, Promises To Site Multi-million Development Project At Ofeme


…Says Visit Not Politically Motivated

The people of Ofeme community of Ohuhu in Umuahia North Local Government Area, LGA, Abia State today received Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia in Ofeme land.
Chief Chris Nwa-Abia, the Isingwu born community development czar and philanthropist visited Ofeme to know and acquaint himself with the people, who have a common historical ancestry with the people of Isingwu.
While addressing the people of Ofeme, who thronged out to receive him, the All Progressive Congress, APC, chieftain from Umuda Okorocha, Isingwu; Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia said that his visit to Ofeme is to know Ofeme and familiarize with the people.
He told Ofeme people who were led by their Traditional Prime Minister, TPM, Chief Ifeanyi Aguikwu to welcome him that Ofeme and Isingwu are brothers, hence that he is willing to site any community development project of their choice at Ofeme.
Said Nwa-Abia “I’m on familiarization visit to our brothers, we are not here today for politics. I’ll like you to take me round to see Ofeme, so that we can check any project I can site for you, like the way I’ve been doing in other places”, he stressed.
The Traditional Prime Minister, Chief Ifeanyi Aguikwu, in his remarks said that Ofeme is complete today to receive Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia, while he expressed delight on the readiness of their visitor to site a project at Ofeme. Chief Aguikwu told their August vistor that if he needs land for his private use that Ofeme will give him because of the relationship that has been established.
Chief Aguikwu maintained that all the various blocs in Ofeme and the 13 villages in Ofeme joined to receive Chris Nwa-Abia.
The secretary general Umuhu youths Ikpeba Ayozie, thanked Nwa-Abia for coming to visit Ofeme, assuring him that anything he (Nwa-Abia) is looking for in Ofeme that he will get it.
Hon Chief Sunday Ndubuisi Ukaogo, while commenting on the visit said that it is good their brother (Nwa-Abia) came to know them. He advised their guest that if there is anything he wants later, that he should not hesitate to let them know because Ofeme will support him.
Some of the youths that spoke commended Nwa-Abia for his numerous community development Programmes in Isingwu and by extension Ohuhu, while urging him to see how he can help Ofeme youths. They called on him to run for elective position.
