Yesterday, the Abia State House of Assembly led by the speaker, visited some areas in Aba.
Specifically, the House members stopped at Ngwa road by Port Harcourt road.
This strategic point provided the lawmakers a clear view of the dilapidated state of cemetery road, Ngwa road and Port Harcourt road. Of course, there is literally, no motorable road to Omuma, Obohia, Ohanku, Uratta, Ozuoma, Uratta and Ohazu roads.
The convoy later moved to Osusu by faulks road.
The reported plan by Abia state government to address a press conference on the state of roads in Aba is an afterthought.
No reasonable Abian believes anything the government says.
The hackneyed strategy of blaming the rains will not have any soothing effect. People are really fed up and angry with this government.
Ndi Abia are tired of same story.
Lastly, I must commend the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Aba branch for their decision to stand up for justice: Justice for the people of Aba.
Those who trivialized our sufferings and those who dismissed our cries, can now hide their faces in shame.
I support the NBA peaceful protest in Aba !
