Gregory University Scores Another First, Acquires Drug Testing Equipments For Staff And Students

In a determined effort to ensure that youths as leaders of tomorrow are not only true in terms of academic excellence but made to appreciate the quality of good life, the Chancellor, Gregory University Uturu, Prof. Gregory Ibe has procured drug testing facilities for staff and students of the University.

Speaking at the commissioning of the facilities, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Augustine Uwakwe noted that most youths have missed their destinies, lost focus and their usefulness as a result of the use of hard drugs.

Prof. Uwakwe maintained that the University has zero tolerance for use of illicit drugs among staff and students and insisted that the equipments procured would help to keep staff and students out of drugs to focus on their academics.

In their separate speeches, the Dean, Students Affairs, Associate Prof. Isaac Ihekwaba and Chief Medical Director, Gregory Hospital, Dr. Ojum Ogwo, appreciated Prof. Ibe for being proactive in checking drug abuse in the University. The drug facilities are improvement to the previous drug testing kits.
