Chief Uchenna Patrick: Celebrating A Philanthropist And Humanist On His Birthday

It’s either we take it or not, Hon (Chief) Uchenna Patrick belongs to the class of special breed who have strong interest in human welfare, progress and dignity. He is quite pleasant and debonair, and also holds no pretences about his position on stormy issues and world view. He is one personality who is so proud and passionate about his Oriendu-Ohuhu heritage that he envisions the best that life could offer for his people, little wonder he is being urged to throw his hat into the ring for the 2023 Abia State governorship race as a worthy son of Ohuhu in Umuahia North Local Government Area, LGA, of Abia State.

Today being August 3, 2021 will remain a memorable red letter day in the life of Chief Uchenna Patrick as he marks his birthday and breathtaking accomplishments in his life.

There is no mistake in saying that Chief Uchenna Patrick, who is also the CEO of Pat-Urchman LTD will today mount the rostrum to be decorated with garlands for his numerous achievements across many spheres of his life, which came about through dint of hard work, diligence and exceptional intellect .

A budding entrepreneur, Chief Uchenna Patrick has been able to build and nurture the Pat-Urchman Group into profitability, in spite of the prevalent harsh business environment in the country today which has taken its toll on the manufacturing sector in particular.

The Pat-Urchman Group is into the manufacturing of natural bitters, hot drinks, importation and exportation of goods and services. It’s also into transportation and long distance haulage with the industrial plant located at Ogun State.

At any rate, for the philanthropist, nothing can be more meaningful and fulfilling than the charity and humanitarian activities he distributes with great relish. To him, putting smiles on the faces of the ordinary people is a covenant he made with God, and “there is no looking back when it comes to helping the widows and less privileged members of the society”, he quips.

On annual basis, he doles out millions of naira in cash and materials to indigent members of the society. Chief Uchenna Patrick has empowered countless number of men, women and youths in Oriendu and Ohuhu clan in keeping to his covenant with God, a covenant that can’t be broken.

He admitted in a recent interview that he shares similar calling with the late Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, in terms of charity and humanitarian outreach. On this note, he said Prophet TB Joshua was the greatest, and disclosed that he has adopted the late Prophet’s style in humanitarian works because it is a divine injunction.

Speaking on the occasion of his birthday anniversary celebration, Chief Uchenna Patrick said “I celebrate my birthday with the entire Ohuhu, Umuahia and Abia people. I pray for God’s protection for all of us”. The celebrant also seeks for peace and unity in Ohuhu land, while he equally prays that God bless Ohuhu sons and daughters exceedingly this year 2021.

The highpoint of Chief Uchenna Patrick’s birthday celebration is his donation of N1m (One Million Naira) to Oriendu Autonomous Community for his birthday celebration. He said he has instructed his traditional ruler on how to disburse the largesse.

His passion to give out without holding back is legendary, and his many acts of benevolence has continued to be appreciated both within and outside. He has been honoured by both the Methodist and Anglican churches as Christ Ambassador, in addition to other numerous recognitions bestowed on him.
