Former governor of Abia State and senator representing Abia North senatorial district in the red Chambers, senator Orji Kalu has threatened that the gods of Aba land will kill Governor Okezie Ikpeazu if he dares to insult him (Kalu).
Orji Kalu was speaking on a life radio programme in Aba Thursday night to round up the All Progressives Congress, APC, campaigns in tomorrow’s House of Representatives bye-election for Aba North/South federal constituency.
Orji Kalu who was also taking questions from callers to the programme appeared highly agitated and desparate to the extent that he often abused callers who tried to probe his sincerity and justification in trying to foist his younger brother Mascot on Aba people.
He told one caller in Igbo to shut up if he doesn’t know what to say” and to another caller he told he is ignorant and lacks understanding. He also accused the presenter of the programme, which was anchored on Real Fm Aba and broadcast across several radio stations in Umuahia of bias.
He told the audience that if Mascot wins the bye-election, that they will deliver 20 new roads in Aba in two-years. Orji Kalu, while speaking on Gov Okezie Ikpeazu, said he made Okezie Ikpeazu LGA chairman, ASEPA GM when he was probably nobody, adding that any attempt by Ikpeazu to insult him (Kalu) “the gods will kill him”.
He described senator Abaribe as the worst senator in the history of Nigeria, being that he could not attract even one project to Abia South. He disclosed that even the road to Abaribe’s village in Umuekwensu in Obingwa LGA is in deplorable state.
Also, Gov Ikpeazu was on a radio programme last night during which he said “Let me warn every hoodlum or thug that has been brought in by desperate and unscrupulous politicians to unleash violence on the people, in the name of election to leave the State before 12noon tomorrow or get fished out and face the full wrath of the law”.
“The PDP is the Party that has given not only the Igbo zone, but all parts of the country opportunities for very critical leadership responsibility but the APC could not trust the Igbo man to head even the Civil Defence or even the Peace Corps. It is the spirit that made us give Ebisike the party ticket, to ensure fairness and equity”.
He called on Aba North/South residents to vote the PDP candidate Ebisike in tomorrow’s bye-election.
